NEA Jazz Master, Composer and Pianist, Kenny Barron's unmatched ability to mesmerize audiences with his elegant playing, sensitive melodies and infectious rhythms is what inspired the Los Angeles Times to name him "One of the top jazz pianists in the world" and Jazz Weekly to call him "The most lyrical piano players of our time." The former Rutgers professor has performed with most every important jazz artist including Dizzy Gillespie, Stan Getz, Roy Haynes, Stanley Turrentine and Yusef Lateef, is returning to Mount Vernon with bassist Kiyoshi Kitagawa and drummer Johnathan Blake.
As usual a delicious buffet dinner will precede the concert beginning at 6:00 pm. The concert will start at 8:00 pm. The price for dinner and concert is $53.95 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Concert only seating is available for $24.00.
