On a night when the Jazz At Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis was performing to a packed house at the Schemerhorn Symphony Center, vocalist Monica Ramey & Friends featuring, Duffy Jackson (drums) Jim Ferguson (bass) and Joe Davidan (piano) made their debut to a full house at Nashville's F. Scott's Restaurant and Jazz Bar, on Friday March 26th, 2010.
Ramey's debut CD "Make Someone Happy" which features some of Nashville's best musicians including The Lori Mechem Trio, Denis Solee, Roy Agee, George Tidwell, James Hollihan and Beegie Adair, has been receiving enthusiastic airplay on national radio, as well as on Nashville stations WPLN 90.3, WRVU 90.1, and WMOT 89.5.
The CD is also being heard on Music Choice, DirecTV, JetBlue, accuradio.com, radioio.com, accuradio.com, last.fm, the Sydney, Australia based www.2mbs.com, and on the nationally syndicated Bob Parlocha, Jim Wilke, and JazzWorks programs.
