does Nate Chinen know his gospel tunes?
Come Sunday does not include "Take My Hand Precious Lord"
Nate Chinen's review copy of "Come Sunday" must include different tunes from the version actually released because the opening track--labelled "Take My Hand Precious Lord" on the jacket and in Nate's column--is actually "Must Jesus Bear the Cross Alone" which is not by Thomas Dorsey but by Thomas Shepherd. The two songs sound not one whit alike so anyone who knows either tune should know that "Come Sunday" does not include "Take My Hand Precious Lord." Personally, I wish it did.
