Crowd Funding Success

French hornist, Mark Taylor and pianist, Sumi Tonooka utilized the crowd funding model to finance recent projects. Taylor's recently released, "At What Age"(ARC-2321) and Tonooka's upcoming "NOW" (ARC-2369) releases had production expenses funded by fans and supporters.

New Signings

Recent signings to the Artists Recording Collective (ARC) include the saxophonist, author and educator, Dr. Todd Wilkinson, who will release recordings by his Kansas City based ensemble, The Goombales. New York based saxophonists and educators, Darryl Yokley and Keith Pray recently joined the ARC roster. Pray is scheduled to release his Confluence recording in early 2012.

Other pending signings include a pair of Kansas City based keyboardists, pianist Roger Wilder and organist, Chris Hazelton. Wilder will release a recording of his quintet of saxophonists, Matt Otto and Dave Chael, the bassist, Seth Lee and Sam Wisman on drums.

Hazelton's new recording is a 10-track collection that includes 5 Hazelton originals, titled "PREGRINATION". This recording features the leader on B3 with his trio mates, Kevin Frazee on drums and the renowned guitarist, Danny Embrey.

Both recordings are due to be released in 2012.
