Bill Cosby
The Dizzy Gillespie’s Memorial Fund, which underwrites the costs of hospitalization for jazz musicians who are uninsured and receive care at the Englewood Hospital and Medical Center in New Jersey is raising awareness with a concert on September 15, 2011 at Le Poisson Rouge, 158 Bleecker Street in New York City.
The Benefit will be hosted by the legendary actor/comedienne Bill Cosby. The show will also feature an exciting array of poets and musicians including: Amiri Baraka, Amina Figarova, Marty Ehrlich, Tracie Morris, Antonio Ciacca, Ernie Hammes, Albey Balgochian, Denis Beuret, Anne Waldman, and many more. All proceeds from ticket sales will go to Dizzy’s fund and we are eager to spread the word about this event.
