Joseph Daley performs at Theaterlab in February

Nioka Workman, curator of The Tea Series, is thrilled to have Joesph Daley perform as part of the monthly program. “As a Mac Dowell fellow, Joseph Daley has composed some of the most incredible music for tuba, brass and orchestra, Loft Arts Productions is thrilled to present Joseph Daley’s work in an intimate space like Theaterlab. This rare opportunity is a treat for electronic music and jazz fans.”

Joseph Daley’s Solo Tuba Explorations is a multi-media event by an extraordinary composer. Daley’s project will explore original compositions for tuba in three settings: Acappella, Electronic Colorations and Recorded Digital Sound Enhancements. Joseph Daley will also premier a documentary about the developmental process of writing and recording his large ensemble compositions featuring some of New York most outstanding musicians.

In New York, NY – Joseph Daley’s Solo Tuba Explorations, will perform at The Tea Series, a monthly new music and jazz series, Sunday, February, 27, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Theaterlab (137 West 14th Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues). Loft Arts Productions produces The Tea Series in association with Arts & Education Continuum, Bruce Mack’s Free World Radio and Theaterlab.
