The earthquake and its aftermath in Haiti have touched all of our lives. Many of you have already contributed as individuals, but we wanted to also let you know that CD Baby has made it possible for music purchases to contribute to the relief effort too. And, since most Artists Recording Collective member artists and labels are selling music via the CD Baby store, ARC music sales will inherently help raise funds toward assisting those affected by the disaster.

Starting on Monday, January 25th and continuing for two weeks, CD Baby President, Brian Felsen has stated that CD Baby will donate $1 of their $4 cut from every CD sale through our ARC gallery at the CD Baby website, and $1 from every download sale over $8.99 on our site, to the American Red Cross and to Mercy Corps, a Portland-based relief organization with a large presence in Haiti.

With your help, we hope to assist toward Brian and CD Baby being able to raise tens of thousands of dollars. Another cool thing that speaks to the purity of this offer is that the CD Baby donation will be taken out of CD Baby's cut of all sales, all ARC artists will still earn the normal amount per CD and album download sale. If you’d like to help this worthy cause and buy some great music as well, use the link below and also consider letting your contacts know that a portion of ARC member sales will go to these fine organizations.

You may also bypass this program entirely and donate directly without buying any ARC member CDs by going to the American Red Cross website at RedCross.org - at any rate, and regardless of the method of your contribution, it is through initiatives such as this one that we can collectively make a continuing positive difference, and ultimately, a better world for everyone.
