If you really want to get up close and personal with some of Jazz greatest artists; take the time to go to the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood. It is a very quant jazz club with that old jazz aviance with dim lighting, great food and ecquisite drinks. The Stanley Clarke Trio with his long time friend and drummer Lenny White, with the new jazz pianist sensation from Japan "Hiromi." They played title tracks from their new album "Jazz in the Garden." The mastery of each musician was in rare form for both sessions. After each set you could also have the pleasure of talking to the artist. There is no bad seat in the place and the sound quality is magnificent. Bass extraordinaire Victor Wooten is coming to the Catalina Jazz Club in January, and I hope to see you there for a fine evening of jazz.
