John Fedchock with the John Toomey Trio

It's no wonder that one of the most in-demand trombonists on the scene today is John Fedchock. His smooth, seemingly effortless, style of playing is both elegant and driving and while not being an overbearing in your face style player, he can swing as hard as anyone and not break a sweat. Backed by the fantastic trio of John Toomey, Jimmy Masters and Dave Ratajczak (Ratajczak has played drums in Fedchock's New York Big Band as well as being one of the most in demand studio drummers and Broadway show drummers out there). Recording a live CD over three nights the only disappointment is having to wait a year to be able to hear this stellar group again.
Photos are from performance by Fedchock and the trio at the Havana Nights Cigar and Jazz Club in Virginia Beach, Virginia on August 22-24, 2013.
