Bassist Martin Wind comes to this date with two distinct advantages. One is his arco playing, the other is pianist Bill Mays. Mays can infuse any situation with his terrific chops, sensitivity and good humor. With drummer Keith Copeland this trio moves handily through a set of predominately Wind originals. The bassist, a young German, solos with himself on the title track, layering a European feeling arco over pizzicato, showing off his instrument at its beautiful best.
