Connie Evingson knows her way in and around a tune, no doubt about it. This Minnesota native has clearly spent years refining her vocal style and her musical ability. On this, her debut CD, she co-arranged and sings a slew of Broadway show tunes in ways that most were not sung on the stage. With crack backup by musicians grouped from trio to septet, Evingson has produced a most polished recording.
