To Be There
Amosaya
Scott Whitfield is a trombonist who's served time with Walt Disney World, and in jazz has played with Nat Adderley and in big bands.
Here he has a chance to show his talents on a mainstream small group date. Whitfield is a fluent, crisp player. The album is bright, breezy and straightforward, a swinging, if simple, affair. It doesn't hurt to have guest shots from the likes of Carl Fontana, Nick Brignola, Sam Rovers, Frank Wess and Ira Sullivan.
