Pianist Mary DiPaola-Davis smoothly leads a trio of compatriots from Hartt School of Music through a collection of standards and originals. She shows herself to be an able player and composer who's in tune with her bandmates. They include trombonist Steve Davis, bassist Nat Reeves, drummer Tony Leone, with J.O. Spaak on percussion. The intro to her "Sicily" is deeply moving, and she and Davis offer up a lively "Beautiful Friendship."
