Although each player contributes pleasing solos, it's the whole package that makes pianist Astrid Cowan's recording an enjoyable straight-ahead listen. Mixing Latin-flavored originals and standards with players of easy compatibility, Cowan guides her quintet handily through their chosen repertoire. Swing Team is aptly titled-they are and they do.
