The pure tone and graceful fluency of Franco Ambrosetti's flugelhorn is absolutely enthralling throughout this diverse collection. It features a dazzling rendition of "My Foolish Heart" and a brilliant reading of "Giant Steps." On this album, his first in five years, he also performs three originals as well as one each from colleagues John Abercrombie on guitar, pianist Antonio Farao, bassist Miroslav Vitous and drummer Billy Drummond.
