Charles Lloyd to Play 75th Birthday Concert at Kennedy Center

Saxophonist will be joined by Moran, Hussain, Farantouri, others

Saxophonist and flutist Charles Lloyd will perform a 75th birthday concert at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., on Friday, March 22 at 8 p.m. Lloyd will be joined by pianist Jason Moran, Indian tabla master Zakir Hussain, bassist Reuben Rogers, Greek lyrist Sokratis Sinopoulos, drummer Eric Harland, vocalist Alicia Hall Moran and the legendary Greek vocalist Maria Farantouri.

The Kennedy Center is located at 2700 F Street, NW, in D.C.

The same lineup, minus Hussain, will perform this Friday, March 15, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
