Smooth is the operative descriptive for longtime Chicago-area vocalist Frank D'rone. The 11 songs on the album, also featuring vocalist Geraldine DeHass, are culled from the great American songbook. D'rone's phrasing and vocal clarity are outstanding on "They Didn't Believe Me," "If I Loved You" and "Pieces of Dreams." DeHass sings expressively on "I've Got My Mind Made Up." A strong quartet is audible, but there are no liner notes or jacket information listing the members.
