Bill Evans’ Soulgrass Plans Blue Note Residency Feb. 26-March 3
Special guests will include John Medeski, John Popper
Bill Evans’ Soulgrass will play a weeklong residency at the Blue Note in New York from Feb. 26-March 3. The saxophonist and his group will host special guests each night. Keyboardist John Medeski (Medeski Martin & Wood) will join the group for the entire run. Harmonicist John Popper (Blues Traveler) plays 2/26-28. Guitarist Eric Krasno (Soulive, Lettuce) plays 2/26-27, and Jake Cinninger (Umphrey’s McGee) on 2/28-3/1. The band’s regular lineup features Etienne Mbappe (bass, vocals), Josh Dion (drums, lead vocals), Ryan Cavanaugh (electric banjo, vocals), and Mitch Stein (guitar, vocals).
