Promoter Todd Barkan to Present Shows at NYC’s Iridium

Barkan previously ran Keystone Korner in San Francisco

Jazz promoter Todd Barkan, who operated San Francisco’s Keystone Korner beginning in the 1970s and oversaw programming at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola in New York, will book a series of shows at the Iridium club in Manhattan next year. The series, which will encompass approximately a hundred shows, will be called “Todd Barkan Presents Keystone Korner Nights at the Iridium.”

The first show will take place Jan. 2 and will be a celebration of the late guitarist Wes Montgomery featuring Jimmy Cobb, Harold Mabern, Eric Alexander, Peter Bernstein and John Webber. The series will run onon Wednesday and Sunday nights.

The show will be webcast in HD at Iridium Live.
