David S. Ware Memorial Planned for NYC Jan. 7

Saxophonist passed away in October

A memorial service for saxophonist and composer David S. Ware will be held at Saint Peter's Church in New York on Monday, January 7th at 7:30 p.m. Ware died on Oct. 18 in New Jersey.

This two-hour remembrance and celebration of Ware's life and musical legacy will include performances by Muhammad Ali, Guillermo E. Brown, Daniel Carter, Cooper-Moore, Andrew Cyrille, Darius Jones, Joe Morris, William Parker, Matthew Shipp and Warren Smith.
