Lee Konitz to Give Free Seminar in NYC

Pianist Dan Tepfer will converse with the saxophonist Dec. 4

Saxophonist and NEA Jazz Master Lee Konitz will converse with pianist Dan Tepfer in a free seminar to take place next Tuesday, Dec. 4, from 3-5 p.m., at Saint Peter’s Church, 619 Lexington Ave (at E. 54th St.) in New York City.

The musicians will discuss the art and business of music. Konitz, 85, and Tepfer, 30, have collaborated on improvisational projects, including the Sunnyside album Duets with Lee.

The workshop will also be streamed live at chamber-music.org.
