Ethan Iverson, Ben Street & Albert “Tootie” Heath Plan Vanguard Dates

WBGO will stream one gig

Ethan Iverson, keyboardist for The Bad Plus, bassist Ben Street and drummer Albert “Tootie” Heath of the Heath Brothers will play a run of dates at the Village Vanguard in New York Aug. 21-26. The trio has performed together previously, and released an album, Live at Smalls, in 2010. According to Iverson, one of the gigs will be streamed on WBGO radio’s website, on the program The Checkout.

In addition, The Bad Plus will perform Igor Stravinsky’s “The Rite of Spring” August 2 at Lincoln Center Out of Doors for free.
