ECM to Release 1979 Keith Jarrett Concert

Jan Garbarek is also featured on this never-before-heard recording

ECM Records will release, on Aug. 7, Sleeper, a previously unissued two-CD concert recording by Keith Jarrett. Recorded in Tokyo in April 1979, the performance features the pianist accompanied by Jan Garbarek on saxophones and flute, Palle Danielsson on double bass and Jon Christensen on drums. All but Danielsson are also credited with playing percussion. The group was referred to at the time as Belonging or Keith Jarrett’s European Quartet .
