Tim Hagans to Perform at Birdland

Trumpeter and quartet will play music from ‘The Moon is Waiting’

Tim Hagans and his quartet will perform music from the trumpeter’s 2011 album The Moon is Waiting (Palmetto) at New York’s Birdland on July 1. Sets are at 9 and 11 p.m. and the group consists of Hagans, guitarist Vic Juris, drummer Jukkis Uotila and bassist Jay Anderson.

Hagans, a three-time Grammy nominee, recently returned from Helsinki, where he was awarded an honorary doctorate in music from the Sibelius Academy.
