Lynne Arriale to Release ‘Solo’
Pianist will tour throughout March
Pianist Lynne Arriale will release Solo, her first-ever non-trio or -quartet recording, March 13 on the Motéma label. The album features new Arriale original compositions alongside works by Thelonious Monk, Cole Porter, Billy Joel and Lerner and Lowe.
Arriale will tour in support of the album, although she will be accompanied on most dates by Omer Avital on bass and oud and Anthony Pinciotti on drums, with a quartet date scheduled for New Orleans (see below).
