Tribute Concert to Tampa Jazz DJ Bob Seymour on Sunday
WUSF spinner is celebrating 30 years of playing jazz on air
An all-star lineup featuring many of Tampa Bay’s best musicians and vocalists will pay tribute on Sunday to Bob Seymour who, for 30 years, has spun jazz classics and new releases on WUSF for 30 years. The main stage show will be followed by a jam session in the Side Door Cabaret with Ira Sullivan, Dick Hyman, Gumbi Ortiz, Fred Johnson, Kym Purling, Nate Najar, John Lamb, Michael Royal, Michael Ross, David Pate, Tom Carabasi, Rose Bilal, Mark Neuenschwander, Whitney James, Larue Nickelson, Jack Wilkins, Mark Feinman, Alejandro Arenas, Denise Moore, and more to be annoinced.
Presented in partnership with the Al Downing Tampa Bay Jazz Association, Tampa Jazz Club and WUSF Public Media, the event includes the post-show jazz jam in the Side Door Cabaret. Tickets are $20 advance, $25 day of show. A $40 VIP includes prime seats in main concert hall and reserved tables for post-show jazz jam.
