Steve Wilson to Open Kennedy Center Jazz Club’s Season
Saxophonist’s String Concerts will precede diverse fall and winter schedule
Saxophonist Steve Wilson will open the 2011-12 season at Washington, D.C.’s Kennedy Center Jazz Club on October 7 and 8, with a special “Strings” performance. Wilson will also conduct a workshop for middle school students at the Kennedy Center Jazz Club, on October 7.
The full lineup for the performance is:

Wilson’s other scheduled dates include:
Oct. 1—Fox Theater, Tucson, AZ: Jazz Legends, led by Dennis Mackrel, featuring Marvin Stamm, Steve Davis, Bill Mays, Martin Wind, and Dee Daniels. There will also be a workshop that morning for 200 students.
Oct. 14-15—with Buster Williams at Smoke, NYC
Oct. 19-28—European tour with Maria Schneider Orchestra
Nov. 4-13—Tour of Japan with a big band that includes Lewis Nash, Peter Washington, Renee Rosnes, Terrell Stafford, Gary Smulyan and Jimmy Green
Dec. 29 and 31—with Christian McBride Inside Straight at Sculler's
