2nd Annual Coca-Cola Generations in Jazz Festival Announced
JALC will host several shows at Dizzy’s from Sept. 5-Oct. 3
Jazz at Lincoln Center has announced the second annual Coca-Cola Generations in Jazz Festival. Taking place from September 5-October 3, 2011, the concerts, presented at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola, will feature a diverse roster, including the 93-year-old composer and conductor Gerald Wilson, celebrating the New York premiere of his Legacy Suite, from Sept. 27-Oct. 2. Wilson will perform with the Juilliard Jazz Orchestra and his son, guitarist Anthony Wilson, and his grandson, keyboardist Eric Otis. Also, young pianists Jonathan Batiste and Aaron Diehl will headline a dynamic double bill from September 20-25.
