Iridium Jazz Club to Offer Live Concert Streams
Three to Four Shows Per Week Will Be Broadcast Online
Iridium, the New York City jazz club best known as the home of Les Paul’s weekly gig during the last years of his life, will begin streaming live streaming of its concerts, according to an article in the Wall Street Journal.
The 200-seat venue, located near Times Square in Manhattan, will offer real-time video streams of three to four concerts per week on Livestream.com, a website that makes it possible for event producers to broadcast performances worldwide.
Iridium owner Rob Sturm told that WSJ that he also hopes to release a dozen albums per year culled from performances at the club.
