Tribute to Von Freeman Coming to Chicago July 28
Steve Coleman, Julian Priester, Others to Participate in Free Concert
A free tribute concert feting Chicago saxophone legend Von Freeman will take place in Chicago’s Millennium Park on July 28 at 6:30 p.m. Truth Be Told: Celebrating the Legacy of Von Freeman will open the Made in Chicago: World Class Jazz concert series, presented by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, in partnership with the Chicago Office of Tourism and Culture, and the Jazz Institute of Chicago. Performing will be Steve Coleman, Eric Alexander, Julian Priester, Michael Raynor and Michael Allemana
