Lovano, Akinmusire, Parlato and Others coming to Carnegie Hall
Several Jazz Shows on the Iconic Venue's 2011-12 Schedule
Carnegie Hall has announced its 2011-2012 season, and jazz will be well represented at the venerable New York landmark.
Highlights include:
Joe Lovano Us Five, October 28, 2011, featuring Joe Lovano (saxophone), James Weidman (piano), Esperanza Spalding (bass), Otis Brown III (drums) and Francisco Mela (drums).

Ambrose Akinmusire Big Band, December 3, 2011, including Marcus Strickland, Justin Brown, Isaac Smith, and Sean Jones.
Ben Allison, February 3, 2012, featuring Ben Allison (bass), Michael Blake (saxophones), Steve Cardenas (guitar), Rudy Royston (drums), and additional artists to be announced.
