Henry Grimes Curates Month of Performances at Stone in NYC

Noted avant garde jazz bassist and poet celebrates 75th birthday with month-long residency at Lower East Side club

Bassist, violinist and poet Henry Grimes is celebrating his 75th birthday with a month of shows at the Stone, a Lower East Side club run by John Zorn. Grimes and his wife Margaret Grimes curated the series of shows at the club and Grimes will be performing with many of the artists. Among the artists slated to perform this month at the Stone are: Marc Ribot, Mark Dresser, Jeff “Tain” Watts and Odean Pope.
