Among the headliners are Dianne Reeves, Roy Hargrove Big Band, Roberta Gambarini, Paquito D’Rivera, James Moody, Poncho Sanchez and Eddie Palmieri. D’Rivera in particular has had a long association with the festival and is currently its artistic director. The festival is directed by jazz impresario Charlie Fishman, who has made a commitment to providing a range of educational and outreach programs, including the Jazz in the Hoods series, which brings jazz performances to various smaller venues throughout the city.
