SFJAZZ Announces Lineup for Spring Season
SFJAZZ has announced its spring season, and next year Randall Kline, executive director of SFJAZZ, will bring four months of concerts from musicians such as Keith Jarrett, McCoy Tyner, Regina Carter, the Bad Plus and numerous others.
The festival’s ninth seasons will begin March 6 with an opening weekend that features Jarrett (pictured), Gary Peacock and Jack DeJohnette, along with the Discovery Series, an event that features Travis Sullivan's Björkestra and Realistic Orchestra, Nik Bartsch’s Ronin and the Frequency, 2 Foot Yard and Iron & the Albatross, and Third World Live with the Yaron Herman Trio.
Aside from various concerts and performances, SFJAZZ will also feature organized programming, such as the previously mentioned Discovery Series, the Wayne Shorter Project, the Jazz Masters Series, the Jazz + Silent Film Festival and the Discover Jazz Course: The Tenor Sax.
