German tenor saxophonist Jason Seizer blends beautifully with harmonic provocateur Marc Copland on piano, accompanied by bassist Matthias Pichler and drummer Tony Martucci, on this thoughtfully understated, ECM-ish affair. Seizer’s gorgeous, Getzian tone and relaxed, flowing melodicism are highlighted on Copland’s moody “Requiem,” his pensive “Between Now and Then” and the precious title track. His capacity for swing is revealed on his aggressive “Corrections” and on a Warren Marsh-inspired extrapolation on “All the Things You Are.”
