Mellow Brazilian affair pairs guitarists Chico Pinheiro and Anthony Wilson, supported by pianist Fabio Torres, bassist Marcelo Mariano and drummer Edu Ribeiro. While their breezy interpretation of Joáo Donato’s “Café Com Pao” and Pinheiro’s “Tempestrade” may tilt into the easy listening zone, the two plectrists demonstrate a lively chemistry on three enchanting duet numbers, Pinheiro’s “Planície,” Wilson’s dreamy waltz “Two Fives” and his jazzy “Alla Chitarra.” Pinheiro’s dynamic title track, featuring six-piece horn section, is a standout track.
