This strangely affecting folk- music hybrid is unlike anything you’ve heard. Picture a place where accordions and Farfisa organs blend with ukulele, bandoneon, Theremin, tablas, darbouka, baritone sax, xylophone, harmonica and koto, where musical saw can accompany French chanson and musette vocals and scat singing. Such a place only exists in the minds of co-founders Cravic and iconoclastic American cartoonist-guitarist Robert Crumb.
