IAJE 2000 in NOLA

In January the international jazz community descended upon New Orleans, the birthplace of jazz, for the International Association of Jazz Educators conference. Nearly 7,000 educators, musicians, industry professionals, media, fans and, of course, students overflowed the halls and rooms of the Hyatt Regency Hotel and the Louisiana Superdome. Here are just a few samples of the scene.
