Sean Noonan Brewed by Noon
Stories to Tell
Songlines

Merging aggressive jazz-rock with West African and Celtic folk music is a tall order, but Sean Noonan pulls it off. What’s more, he makes it sound like a natural fit. Brewed by Noon’s unique lineup of three electric guitars, viola, electric bass, electro-acoustic drums and African percussion makes an almighty racket, but it also blends surprisingly well with the impassioned griot story-singing of Abdoulaye Diabaté, Susan McKeown’s multi-tracked Gaelic vocals and the lilting melodic structures of both cultures.
