Chilean multi-instrumentalist Anibal Rojas plays tenor saxophone with directness and soul. But he doesn’t stop there, as he breaks out an array of Andean flutes, ocarina, keyboards and even EWI alongside an ever-changing group of sidemen. On this dreamy CD, Rojas performs smooth, heartwarming tunes inspired by family and everyday experience, with exotic Latin-American soundscapes framing plush ballads or sliding into a lightly funky strut. Catchy melodic structures, layered production and heartfelt emotion complete the tableau.
