Drummer Ches Smith Plans Residency at NYC’s Stone

Collaborators to include Craig Taborn, Mary Halvorson, William Parker, others

Drummer Ches Smith will perform several gigs at New York’s the Stone during the week of Sept. 30-Oct. 6. In the first evening of his residency, Smith will showcase his project We All Break. The following evening, Smith will play with his main compositional and bandleading outfit, These Arches, which features Tim Berne, Tony Malaby, Mary Halvorson and Andrea Parkins.

Throughout the rest of the week, Smith will collaborate with Matt Mitchell, Tyshawn Sorey, Nate Wooley, Jonathan Finlayson, William Parker, Randy Peterson, Craig Taborn and Marc Ribot.
