SFJAZZ Center Announces 2014-15 Season

Coltrane and ECM tributes + much more

San Francisco’s SFJAZZ Center has announced programming for its 2014-15 season. Tickets go on sale for members July 9 at 11 a.m. and to the general public July 23, also at 11. The artistic directors for the season will be Zakir Hussain, Eric Harland, Terence Blanchard and Esperanza Spalding. The Center also announced its upcoming education programs and classes, which can be viewed here.

Highlights of the 2014-15 season include performances by Joshua Redman, Spalding, Ravi Coltrane, Caetano Veloso, Charles Lloyd, Gregory Porter, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Béla Fleck, Hussain, Chris Botti, Gilberto Gil, Eliane Elias, Brian Blade and the Fellowship Band, Melissa Aldana, the Cookers, Eric Reed, Taj Mahal, Maceo Parker, Pharoah Sanders, Kurt Elling, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Laurie Anderson, a four-night “ECM Fest” and a six-show celebration of the 50th anniversary of John Coltrane’s A Love Supreme. SFJAZZ Collective is set for Oct. 23-26.
