Melba Liston Tribute Concert Coming to NYC

October show will feature former collaborator Randy Weston

The Manhattan School of Music and the Wilbur Ware Institute will be collaborating on Oct. 17, at 7:30 p.m., to present a tribute to NEA Jazz Master trombonist, composer and arranger Melba Liston (1926-1999). The concert will feature a special guest artist, saxophonist Fostina Dixon, a colleague of Liston’s. Randy Weston, a longtime collaborator of Liston’s, will also be a featured artist, performing with the MSM Jazz Orchestra, Justin DiCioccio, conductor.
