St. Louis to Get New Jazz Venue
Jazz at the Bistro to be replaced, expanded
Jazz at the Bistro, a St. Louis venue that opened in 1995, will close later this month but will be replaced in October by a new, $10-million state-of-the-art jazz venue. According to an article published in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the new Ferring Jazz Bistro will launch with a show by Wynton Marsalis. In addition to the venue, the complex will also include the Centene Jazz Education Center, a jazz lounge and the headquarters of Jazz St. Louis, the article states.
The live music bistro will be redesigned and the capacity will increase from 150 patrons to 220. For more information, read the original article here.
