J Curve Records
With an alluring cover photo, I first thought Latin X-posure might have offered an exciting new view of hot... well, let's not go there. It's just music. And that is the problem with this record. It is just music. Though a fine disc for the band's Cincinnati fan base to purchase from the bandstand, there is little of interest for those beyond southwest Ohio. The instrumentalists are solid enough, but the arrangements explore nothing new. If only the four featured vocalists were plagued by weak arrangements alone: intonation is a frequent problem, and all too often their phrasing and voice quality is out of character stylistically with this music.
