Preservation Hall Jazz Band Announces New Year’s Eve Benefit

Group will perform at New Orleans home base, offer plenty of extras

Preservation Hall will hold its first annual end of year benefit, featuring the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, on New Year’s Eve, December 31, at its venue in New Orleans’ French Quarter. The limited-availability tickets for the event are $100 and will include an open bar, a “homebase” for patrons’ trottings around the French Quarter, a special gift bag of Preservation Hall merchandise and memorabilia, a midnight champagne toast in their courtyard, and a secondline parade into the night’s proceedings, led by Ben Jaffe and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the Preservation Hall Foundation (PHF). In 2014, PHF plans to expand its local educational initiatives with students, extend its 50th anniversary exhibit at the Old U.S. Mint, and continue the documentation and protection of its archive.

Tickets for the event are available now at Preservation Hall Tickets or here.
