Zuco 103
Outro Lado
Six Degrees

Zuco 103 (Lilian Viera, vocals; Stefan Kruger, drums; Stefan Schmid, keyboards) are all about the underground dance floor. Zuco 103's debut album, Outro Lado, updates '70s tropicalismo and MPB via some wicked drum 'n' bass, trip hop, soul jazz beats and grooves. Check how "No Bar do Samba" percolates like Walter Wanderley at the end of happy hour, how Viera floats like a jazz singer/daps like an MC throughout "Aqua Mineral"'s funky hip hop boom-bap, how she Gal Costa's her way through "Humana's" shifting minefield of jittery drums, sub-dub bass, squirrely synths, intermittent koto samples. Zuco 103 and Outro Lado-think primetime Sergio Mendes and Brasil '66 with a snarky pan-global electronica freak on.
