Jazz takes over Central Park for the second consecutive year

The second annual Jazz & Colors event came to New York's Central Park on Nov. 9, 2013. The concept is simple but brilliant: place 30 contemporary jazz ensembles in various locations throughout the park, give them all the same setlist to perform, and allow the park's visitors to take in this exceptional music for free as they walk or bike around the park. A brisk but beautiful fall day was the perfect setting for the event. JazzTimes will feature a full report in our January-February 2014 edition. For now, here are some of the photographic highlights, as shot by Jeff Tamarkin.
