2nd TD James Moody Democracy of Jazz Festival Set for Nov. 4-10

Events include samba, vocals, Latin, Amiri Baraka, more

The second annual TD James Moody Democracy of Jazz Festival, scheduled for Nov. 4-10, will offer seven days of concerts, panel discussions and workshops around Newark, N.J., in honor of saxophonist and bebop pioneer James Moody.

The festival kicks off on November 4 at 7 p.m. with a concert by tenor saxophonist Jimmy Heath and his quartet at Bethany Baptist Church.
