What's not to like on this release by pianist and songwriter Sarah Jane Cion? She has the chops to swing in the best bebop tradition, as she does on the tune "Ease It," with special guest Antonio Hart on alto, while her solo piano effort, "Body and Soul," is tasteful and elegant. Five tunes are written by Cion. There's one vocal number, the pop sounding "Stay the Same," sung by Carolyn Leonhart. Cion's mature execution belies her youth.
